Parker Harper Parker Harper moved from Denver, Colorado, his birth place, to San Francisco to attend San Francisco State University. Shortly after the move he was captivated by the challenges of molten glass.  It was its unlimited possibilities and the challenge that had captured him.  He studied under John Leighton and Joe Cariati at San Francisco State University. From there he was awarded the 2003 Partner Scholarship to Pilchuck Glass School, where he studied with Karen Lamonte.  Parker currently works as an assistant at Pizzichillo & Gordon Studios in Oakland, California.
